British comedy from award-winning
writer/director Rikki Beadle-Blair (Fit,

DVD and Digital January 17th from Wolfe
Video. The outrageous comedy set in the
world of 5-a-side footie (soccer to you
Yanks), KickOff finds a macho football team
forced to compete against a team comprised
entirely of gay men in their Sunday soccer
league. The straight guys have their
assumptions challenged, while up-and-coming
referee Elton Glixton (Duncan MacInnes)
finds himself in the middle of a culture
clash. The cast includes Ian Sharp,

Synopsis: |
There’s more than one way to score. What happens when the hardest team in the Sunday Soccer league comes up against a gay team (pun intended) and finds they've finally met their match? FILMMAKER CREDITS:
Rikki Beadle-Blair – Writer/Director/Actor
Beadle-Blair began his career as a child actor in Britain, and was the subject of a BBC documentary in his early twenties. He has been a dancer, a cabaret artist, a rock musician, an actor, a choreographer, and a director.
He has performed worldwide, and written plays for BBC Radio 4 and Channel 4 television. In 1994 he wrote the screenplay for
Nigel Finch's film Stonewall, about the Stonewall Rebellion. This won him awards at film festivals in London and San Francisco.
His profile was considerably raised in Britain in 2001 with the Channel 4 television series
Metrosexuality which he wrote, produced, and directed, and in which he played a lead role. That year, he also adapted Boy George's autobiography
Take It Like A Man for a BBC film.
His recent films include KickOff and Fit, in which he explores homosexuality and sports through outrageous humor.
Rikki Beadle-Blair’s award-winning movies include Metrosexuality,
Stonewall, and Fit.
